The West set the pace last Friday in the District One All Star Game against the East with a final score of 108-66. West boys beat East in All StarMULLAN — Coeur d'Alene guard Calvin Peterson earned MVP honors as the West blazed past the East All-Stars 108-66 in the District One All-Star Game at the Mullan Pavilion on Friday night. Both teams opened the fast-paced game hitting shots quickly as both teams moved out to a 22-22 tie after the first quarter. In the second, Peterson would score six straight points as the West team went on a 13-0 run midway through the second quarter to stretch the lead to 49-36 at the half. During halftime, Timberlake guard Felix Schreier made 8 of 10 three-pointers to win the 2007 Three-Point competition, while Post Falls Trojan Brandon Hass soared above the pack to win the Slam Dunk contest.
