I am voting against the School Levy. Here are two of the reasons why.
First, since levies are assessed on property, than only land owners should have a vote. I feel that people are allowed to vote money out of other people's pockets.
Second, There are better and more cost effective methods of educating our communities children. I am not interested in giving extra financing to a system that works at such a low efficiency and that is so resistant to change.
I already fund the educational system without the levy. I don't begrudge this money to the schools because it is in our best interests to educate the next generation, but I don't wish to pay more.
