On Friday, April 20, the Bonners Ferry Warriors Lacrosse Club traveled to Moscow to take on Logos Christian Academy.
The game saw the Logos get out to a quick lead in the first period scoring three unanswered goals before the Warriors tallied their first goal scored by Kelly Skaggs.
During the second period, the Logos added one goal while the Warriors Kelly Skaggs netted his second goal, and Davis Kline also found the back of the net with his first score for the day. At half time, the Logos was leading the contest 4-3.
At the start of the 3rd period Logos added three quick goals, taking advantage of face off quick breaks increasing their lead to 7-3. The Warriors could only respond with one goal from Ben Adler in the 3rd period and at the end of the period Logos lead increase to 11-4.
In the final period the Logos added two goals while Ben Adler and Davis Kline each scored their 2nd goals of the contest. The final score was 13-6.

Lead scorers for Logos was Kyle Morse with four goals, Danny Ryan and Dane Wilson, with two goals each. For the Warriors, Kelly Skaggs, Davis Kline and Ben Adler with two goals each.
The Warriors played an excellent 1st two periods, and again seemed to lose their concentration in the later two periods. Our young middies, Aaron Hoisington, Tyler Williams, Ben Adler, Jozef Musial, Forest Parker, Mike Bitner, Jon Balance and Tim Youngwirth played aggressively, but were no match for the experienced Logos team. The Logos have a 7th and 8th grade feeder program for their JV and varsity teams.
Last week's games against Gonzaga Prep and Lakeland were postponed. The Gonzaga coaches were out of town for the week, and due to Bonners Ferry rescheduling prom night for April 27, which was the night scheduled to play Lakeland away. The Gonzaga game is set for May 5, while the Lakeland game will be played either on May 9 or 12.
This week the Warriors played Lake City, which was originally scheduled as a home game, but might be played at Lake City due to us not having referees for the game.
The team also travels to Coeur d'Alene this week to take on Coeur d'Alene High School. Coeur d'Alene and Lake City are currently ranked 1-2 in the league, while the Warriors are tied for 4th with Logos. This week our Booster Chairman Art Kline is visiting from Dallas, Texas. He will be in the area introducing himself to the local business. It should be noted that Mr. Kline has donated to date over $10,000 to our program. He has purchased the signs that are placed in local businesses and on the lawns of local residences as well as purchasing warm ups, sweat shirts, T-shirts, snow caps and hats for the boys.
In addition, he spent over $4,000 for equipment for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to start a feeder program. See the full page ad in today's paper regarding the summer program for 6th-8th graders.
