| November 16, 2007 8:00 PM

Sarah Thomas has joined the staff of the Bonners Ferry Herald as a reporter.

"Sarah will be a good addition to the newsroom," said managing editor Gwen Albers. "She's a hometown girl, who not only knows everyone, but has a lot of enthusiasm for her new job."

"Sarah's enthusiasm and love for Bonners Ferry comes through in her writing," added David Keyes, Herald publisher. "Gwen and Sarah have already improved the local content in the Herald and I have every belief they will continue to do so."

Thomas was raised in Naples and graduated from Riverside High School in Bonners Ferry in January 2007. She plans to take classes at North Idaho College in Bonners Ferry for the spring semester.

Thomas has been working as a cashier at the Kootenai River Inn.

The Herald now has a full staff in the newsroom.

"The paper looks great, has good writing and photography, and continues to be the leader in local news and advertising," Keyes said. "Sarah will give residents one more reason to read and subscribe to the Herald."
