Naples man assaulted, police seek suspects
NAPLES — Boundary County Sheriff's Office is looking for information related to the assault of a Naples man.
Nate Miller, 28, at 4:50 a.m. Sept. 28 was found along Highway 95 in the Naples area with injuries to his neck and throat, said Rich Stephens, chief deputy with the sheriff's office.
Miller was treated and released from Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, but told police he doesn't remember what happened, Stephens said.
"He said he was in a fight somewhere, but doesn't remember who did it or what happened," Stephens said. "Either he didn't want to tell me or it's very possible there
may be somebody out there (he hurt) and he's just as much a suspect."
The fight allegedly occurred in the Elmira area. It's believed Miller called police from the pay phone at Naples General Store.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at 267-3151.
