Emery "Jim" Jackson

Emery "Jim" Jackson, 79, of Bonners Ferry died Sept. 24, 2007.

Jim was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Grand Junction, Colo.

He married the former Nadine Oswalt on Dec. 10, 1945, in Walla Walla, Wash. They moved to Bonners Ferry in 1968, where they remained.

Jim belonged to AARP and Senior Hospitality Center.

He also was a member and pastor of Community of Christ Church for 23 years and belonged to the Nazarene Church in Bonners Ferry.

Jim is survived by his wife; children Douglas Jackson of Richland, Wash., Dale Jackson of Kennewick, Wash., Darlene Nelson of Coeur d'Alene and Dawn Stratton of Newman Lake, Wash.; sisters Glendene Mann of Grass Valley, Ore., Elizabeth Sloot of Hydro, Okla., and Verlene Jones of Toppenish, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by sisters Marcilene Jones and Evelyn Mann.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Oakcrest Mobile Home Park on 4301 Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene. The service will be conducted at the community center within the mobile home park's main office at 1859 W. Marlborough Ave.
