Fifth annual Community Breakfast was huge success

The fifth annual FREE CommUNITY Breakfast sponsored by the Better Boundary County Coalition was held Saturday, Sept. 8.

The Badger Booster Club prepared and served the breakfast with food donated by Boundary Trading Co.

Although fewer meals were served than last year, the attendance was good and everyone enjoyed themselves.

In previous years, the Lethbridge football teams, coaches and parents were here for the breakfast.This year they were here on Labor Day weekend but we couldn't have the breakfast that weekend due to lack of workers.

The silent auction brought in $2561.50 before expenses and the donation cans netted $387.85. We do live in a very generous community!

The BBCC wishes to thank the Booster Club, Boundary Trading Company and also the following businesses and individuals for their donation of items and gift certificates for the silent auction:

Also, Bonners Ferry Vet Clinic, Larson's for Men & Women, Northside School Bed & Breakfast, Oriental Garden, South Hill Splash & Dash and Under the Sun.

Also, White Mountain Chains, Larry & Wilma DeVore, Bonners Ferry Nursery, Gil Hagen, Bear Auto, Boundary Tractor, The Creamery, Panhandle Restaurant, Rex Theater, LaMar's, Northern Air Inc., and Dr. Mark Barker.

Also, Tucked Away, South Hill Furniture, Bonners Ferry Log Inn, Dr. Marty and Teresa Becker, Columbia Tractor, Curves, Tactical Innovations, Jill's Cafe, Grace Siler, Bamboo Room Craft Store, Mike Oehler and Jay Cohn.

As we voted on at our September meeting, half of the net profit will be donated to the downtown clock tower project. The remainder will be used for other worthwhile projects in the community.

Thank you again to all who worked on the breakfast and auction, Boundary Trading Company, and the public who attended and supported the auction. We'll see you for year number six next September.
