Delbert Ray Gardner

Delbert Ray Gardner, 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at United Methodist Church of Bonners Ferry.

Delbert was born March 1, 1929, in Colville, Wash., to Arbery and Clara Masterson Gardner.

Delbert lived most of his adult life in Spangle, Wash., before moving to Bonners Ferry in 2002.

His hobbies included hunting and four-wheeling, and he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 54 years, Delores, in Bonners Ferry; sons Jeffery (Ethelene) Gardner of Breman, Ky., and Bret Gardner of Spokane, Wash., daughters Linda (Ed) Hawley of Boise, and Debra Gardner of Spokane, a brother, Leroy Gardner of Spokane; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dustan Ray; a sister, Jean Bailey; and a brother, Guy Gardner.
