• Shari French and Karen Limillar of Sandpoint last week celebrated their birthdays in downtown Bonners Ferry “Thelma and Louise” style.

French and Limillar and their friends showed up at Under the Sun in convertibles, just like Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis did in the 1991 film “Thelma and Louise.” In the movie, the pair runs from the law after shooting a rapist. They travel across the Southwest in Sarandon’s 1966 Thunderbird convertible.

Party-goers chose Under the Sun for its food and downtown Bonners Ferry for its shopping.
