Sandpoint Elks named Zach Callister as its student of the month for November for Bonners Ferry High School.

Zach has a 3.7 grade-point average.

He enjoys the outdoors, reading, spending time with his friends and playing video games.

Zach takes pride in being the first person in Bonners Ferry to beat Halo 3.

Other students of the month for November were Ryan Williams and Nicole Van Dyk from Sandpoint High School, Brenda Mae Davisson from Clark Fork High School, Shaely Sage from Lake Pend Oreille High School and Tricia Lehman from Priest River Lamanna High School.

All recipients can apply for $400 and $1,000 Student of the Year scholarships in April. In addition, the Sandpoint Elk Lodge offers the Elks Community Scholarship for anyone continuing their undergraduate or vocational education.
