Support given to Edwards

The Democratic Caucus will be held on Feb. 5 in Memorial Hall at the County Fair Grounds.

In choosing a candidate for the office of President of the United States, we must select wisely, and that is a decision of highest import. I hope that we will not let the mainstream media pick our candidate for us. Too many states have already done that.

Who has raised the most money and can buy the showiest and longest sound bites should not be the deciding factors for selecting a person.

Rather the man that proposed the first and the best health care plan, that has stated a firm commitment on ending the wasteful and tragic Iraq fiasco, that has set the highest minimum wage goal, that has worked hardest to erase poverty and to rebuild the middle class by discussing its vital place in a democracy — that is the man who should be our choice.

That man is John Edwards!

Come to the caucus and make Democracy work. Put our country back on the true path of Democracy again.

Caucus participants must be registered and in their seats by 7 p.m.
