Bonners Ferry wrestlers go to districts

Bonners Ferry will have seven possible seeded wrestlers for the District 3A tournament on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Post Falls High School.

They are at 103 Ben Watt and Reid Boorman, 112 Dusty Koehler, 125 Jeremiah Solt and Trevor Hampton, 130 Brandon Schmitz, 135 Isaiah Grey, and 140 Dayne Swisher.

They have winner criteria over other wrestlers in the region so they will be placed on the brackets where others will be drawn and placed on the brackets.

Others are at 119 Robert Lundgren, 130 Matt McLean, 135 Chanse Ennis, 145 Joe Neumeyer, 152 Michal Kraus and 189 David Willems

Wrestling will start at 8 a.m. and runs through to finals at about 5 p.m. The top three placers in each class will advance to the state championships in Nampa from Feb. 21-23.

During Bonners Ferry's only home match of the season on Friday, Timberlake defeated Bonners Ferry 48-30.

Also wrestling at 130-Brandon Schmitz BF MD 12-2 Kyle White TL, 135-Isaiah Grey BF win by fall 3:09 Wade Bernhardt TL, 140-Dayne Swisher BF win by fall 2:32 Justin Anast TL, and 145-Kyle Anderson TL win by fall :56 Joe Neumeyer BF.

Others at 152-Kyle March TL win by fall 2:56 Michal Kraus BF, 160-Hunter Corn TL win by forfeit, 171-John Morris TL win by forfeit, 189-Josh Goodman TL win by fall 1:11 David Willems, 215-Jared McClure TL win by forfeit, and 285-Dillan White TL win by forfeit

On Saturday at the Coeur d'Alene JV Tournament, results at 103-Ben Watt 1st place and Reid Boorman 2nd place, 112-Dusty Koehler 3rd place, 130-Brandon Schmitz 2nd place, 135-Isaiah Grey 2nd place, 145-Joe Neumeyer 2nd place and 189-David Willems 4th place.
