COOKING WITH SARAH

| February 28, 2008 8:00 PM

“Cooking with Sarah” will run weekly. The column features recipes from readers.

This week's recipe for hash was submitted by Lacey Phillips.

Lacey works at Pizza Factory. She enjoys making this for a good meal anytime of the day.

Ingredients

3 large potatoes

1 package of sausage

1 clove of garlic

1/4 cup of chopped onion

4 eggs

Grated cheddar cheese

Bake potatoes until they are soft.

In a large skillet start browning sausage. Add onions and garlic. Once sausage is thoroughly cooked, grate the potato into the sausage mixture. Let sit until potatoes start to brown. Add eggs. Let cook until eggs are done.

Melt cheese on top.

This makes a good breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Lacey makes this hash with different things every time. Instead of regular sausage, she occasionally uses maple sausage.

These can easily be turned into a breakfast burrito by adding sour cream and salsa, and wrapping them in a tortilla.

Until next week, happy cooking!
