Alice E. Higgins, 90, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, in Sandpoint.

Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint.

Alice was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Marinette, Wis.

As an infant, she moved to Townsend, Mont., where she grew up and went to school.

Alice married Donald Higgins on Aug. 2, 1932, in Deer Lodge, Mont.

She lived in Jefferson City and Shirley Basin, Wyo., and in 1971 moved to Elmira. In 1998 Alice moved to Bonners Ferry.

She enjoyed taking care of her family.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her son, Larry Higgins of Elmira; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grand children; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
