Nadine J. Jackson, 79

Nadine J. Jackson, 79, died on June 18, 2008, at her home in Coeur d' Alene after battling with cancer.

Nadine was born on July 8, 1928, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Samuel and Maude Oswalt.

She and her late husband Emery (Jim) Jackson lived in Bonners Ferry and were best known for running the Three Mile Cafe from 1967 to 1979.

Nadine was an active member of the Community of Christ and senior center for many years

She is survived by her children Douglas Jackson and wife LaRayne of Richland, Wash.; Dale Jackson and wife Joan of Kennewick, Wash.; Darlene (Jackson) Nelson and her husband, Frank, of Coeur d Alene; Dawn (Jackson) Stratton and her husband, Jason, of Greenacres, Wash.; grandchildren Doug and Dean Jackson, Darcie Drefs, Tod Nicoles, Shane Shelton, Devon and Dana Young and 10 great-grandchildren and closest friend Lila Sweet, and many, many friends.

Nadine and Jim made the Three-Mile a special place where friends could gather and just have fun.'

She enjoyed dancing and will always be remembered for her sweet smile and giving personality. She was everyone's friend and loved everyone and treated them like family.

Nadine was known for making people laugh and smile, enjoyed dancing shopping, eating out with friends and family and was always grabbing the tab to pay for the meal.

Her family loves her very much and will miss her.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. July 13, 2008, at Hampton Inn at 1500 W Riverstone Dr. in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in the room Riverstone South.
