Kenneth Milford Day, 76

Kenneth Milford Day, 76 passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Boundary Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the LDS Church in Bonners Ferry with interment at Grandview Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by the American Legion Post No. 55.

Kenneth was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Charlotte, Maine.

He worked on his grandfather's farm with his brother and two sisters and also worked in the woods.

Kenneth came out West in 1947 and again in 1949.

On Feb. 14, 1951, he married Isabelle May Haddox in Everett, Wash.

Kenneth was drafted into the Army in 1952, and after his service, raised five sons and two daughters.

He was a longtime television repairman and worked as a contract mail carrier.

Kenneth enjoyed prospecting for gold and took many trips into the hills with his family. He also liked playing his guitar, singing and yodeling to his favorite country western singers.

In 1994 Kenneth and Isabelle moved to North Idaho.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 57 years; daughters Aleta Parks and her husband, Donald Parks, and Ruth McNabb and her husband, Donald McNabb; sons Kenny, David and his wife, Nancy, James and his wife, Rohanie, Aaron and his wife, Tami, and Joseph; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister Marjorie Scott; and a brother Hamilton.
