Sadie Winona Butcher

Sadie Winona Winger Butcher, 93, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008, at her home near Moyie Springs.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma, Calif., with interment following.

Winona was born May 30, 1915, in Hyrum, Utah, the youngest of four brothers and four sisters.

She was raised in Arco, Idaho.

Winona loved riding horses, playing basketball; she set many records in track.

Winona met the love of her life, Leland Butcher. They married in Wyoming had two sons and two daughters, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Both Winona and Leland leave behind a rich legacy and heritage.

Winona loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Winona was a MIA President and a visiting teacher.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
