Stealing from graves is wrong
I'm writing this letter to the editor of The Herald to make the public aware of the stealing that is going on from the graves at the McArthur Cemetery.
Our family just can't understand how someone can rob from a grave and not feel guilty about what they have done.
The item taken from my husband's grave was a solar rock with a beautiful verse on it and two doves on the top. It's a very sentimental and personal gift from me and our daughter. There were several ceramic items taken from the grave next to ours. Also, a sailor with a lantern, an anchor and two squirrels.
I know they feel as we do and would just appreciate the return of all of our grave ornaments with no questions asked on our part. We are hoping someone will know something about this crime and will encourage the guilty person to return everything to the cemetery.
