Robert "Bob" Jurl Piper, 77
Robert “Bob” Jurl Piper, 77, passed away quietly on Feb. 17, 2008, at Ace Elder Care in Bonners Ferry.
Bob was born in Springfield Township, Mich., on May 16, 1930, to Robert Jurl Piper Sr. and Delphen Lewis Piper.
Bob worked for General Motors-Pontiac in Troy, Mich., until his retirement in 1984. He then moved to San Diego, where he met and married Jean Hays.
The Pipers moved to Tampa, Fla., where they lived until February 2007. They moved to Bonners Ferry to be closer to Jean's family.
Bob was always known to family and friends as a hard working and responsible man, who never shirked his duties. He lived with integrity and dealt with life that way. Bob was always steadfast and true, and could always be relied upon. He will be missed.
Bob is survived by his wife; a brother, Bruce Piper; daughters Barbara Morris, Beverly Hoslet Vrecenak and Brenda Marconi and their husbands; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and the Beggerly family of Bonners Ferry.
