Hiatt wins hurdlesat Lewiston invite

Three-time Bonners Ferry placer Samantha Hiatt earned 17 of The Lady Badgers' 40 points during the Lewiston 2008 Track Invite on March 22.

Bonners Ferry girls placed 10th in the event.

Hiatt placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.93. The senior also placed sixth in 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.61 and fifth in pole vault, clearing 8'6.”

Sophomore Erin Hiatt placed sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03:36; senior Melody Braden placed fourth in the 3,200-meter run with 12:18:14; senior Camille Robertson finished third in the pole vault, clearing 9'; freshmen Olivia Langs and Amy Andrews, Erin Hiatt and sophomore Emily Pauls placed second in the 800-meter sprint medley with a time of 2:02:15.

Leading the boys was two-time placer Jordan Stockton, who took first in the triple jump with 39'5'' and fourth in the long jump, clearing 19'6.”

Stockton earned 15 points towards the Badgers' 16 points and 11th-place tie with Deary.

Placing eighth in the 4x200-meter relay were sophomore Colton Watt, senior Mark Chrisman and freshmen Spencer Henslee and Daniel Aitken.

The boys and girls track teams at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, will host the Bonners Ferry Invite. The only other home meet will be 4 p.m. Thursday, April 10, with Timberlake and Priest River.
