LaRocco working his way to Senate
U.S. Senate candidate Larry LaRocco took a look “under the hood” at Bear Mechanical Services during his “Working for the Senate” job Friday in Bonners Ferry.
“It is part of my working for the senate campaign,” said LaRocco. “It is a way of immersing myself into a community and finding out their needs.”
This was the 20th job the 60-year-old former U.S. Representative has “worked” during his campaign.
“I’m glad he has taken the time out of his schedule to visit North Idaho,” said Fred Hedrickson, owner of Bear Mechanical. “I’m happy to accommodate him.”
LaRocco, a Democrat, is running for the seat held by U.S. Sen. Larry Craig.
While LaRocco learns about professions crucial to Idaho’s working families and the state’s economy, he also takes time to meet and learn from workers — Idahoans who have been forgotten in Washington, D.C.
“The economic insecurity that working families are feeling is real,” LaRocco said.
