School Notes 101
A typical day for a special education para-professional is challenging and rewarding.
We help students in the general education classroom take notes, read material, complete assignments and take tests. The classroom teacher working closely with the special education teacher outlines how, as a team, we help our students progress through school.
As special education para-professionals, we assist students in math, English, science, history, economics and social study classes. Our responsibility is to work closely with each individual student. Some students may find reading difficult while others find math a burden.
All students receive the help they are eligible for.
Our service to the disabled student is very rewarding. The majority of young people we work with graduate and move into successful adulthood. This gives us reason to celebrate.
