Incumbents supported for re-election

| November 3, 2008 8:00 PM

I urge you to vote in the upcoming election for Ron Smith and Walt Kirby for county commissioner.

The two incumbents are by far the two best candidates for Boundary County and for Boundary County residents. Not because they are members of one party or the other, but because they have proven over the years that they are truly for Boundary County.

Their opponents claim to support the local timber industry. Quite the opposite is the truth. Both opponents of Smith and Kirby have proven time and time again by their membership and active participation in organizations that, behind the scenes, oppose and appeal almost every timber sale the U.S. Forest Service has proposed for at least the past 20 years.

Sheriff Greg Sprungl is simply not only an excellent sheriff, he is one of the best people, managers and office managers that Boundary County has had over many years.
