Roberta "Bobbie" Joyce Malone, 55

Roberta “Bobbie” Joyce Malone, 55, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.

Bobbie was born Sept. 8, 1953, in Portland, Maine, to Robert and Joyce Yager and was raised in Las Vegas.

Bobbie has been a resident of Boundary County on and off since 1976. In 2001, she moved to Anchor-age, Alaska, where she returned to school earning a master’s in library science and a bachelor’s in anthropology.

Bobbie was also a Tae Kwon Do student in Anchorage. She earned a black belt and won in a national competition.

Bobbie is survived by her son, Timothy Malone of Bonners Ferry, and brothers Brad and Greg Yager of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Crossroads Community Chapel, 6525 Jackson St., in Bonners Ferry. Lunch will be provided. Call Laurie Naumann for more information at 267-4724.
