Rosaria Potter, 82
Rosaria Potter, 82, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry.
Services were held Tuesday at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with private interment in Grandview Cemetery.
Rosaria was born on May 4, 1926, in San Martin, Calif., to Mateo and Josephine Messina Pennisi.
Rosaria attended schools in San Martin and Morgan Hill, Calif.
After her graduation, she helped run a farm. Later in life, Rosaria worked in the food processing and electronic industries in California.
She married Mel Potter in 1977.
Rosaria lived in Gilroy and Hollister, Calif., and Las Vegas. After retiring, they moved to acreage on the Montana side of the Curley Creek-Old Highway 2 area, where they remained for 30 years.
She enjoyed knitting afghans, reading and playing the piano.
Rosaria is survived by sons Peter Garcia Jr. of San Jose, Calif., and Raymond F. Garcia of Gilroy; a sister, Lucia Lomanto of Hollister; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Sam Pennisi.
