Christenson chosen for People to People
Keera Christenson has been chosen for a three-week trip to France, Italy and Spain through People to People Student Ambassadors Program.
Keera, 16, is the daughter of Terasa and Norman Christenson of Bonners Ferry.
A sophomore at Bonners Ferry High School, Keera is a straight “A” student and belongs to the Dance Team and Academic Decathlon. She plans to become a psychiatrist.
She will need to raise $6,739 before taking the trip, which will include stops in Rome, Barcelona, Tuscany and Pisa. Keera is looking for sponsors. Her mother opened an account at Mountain West Bank for donations.
Terasa also plans to hold some fundraisers.
“I’m proud of her and think it’s awesome,” she said about her daughter being chosen for People to People, which provides international educational opportunities for elementary, junior high and high school students.
“She’s really a good student and I think she deserves to do something like this,” Terasa continued.
If anyone is interested in helping raise money for Keera, call her at 304-5397.
