Anthony Krezman has done more than 400 tattoos from his home over the last 10 years.

The Bonners Ferry man recently opened a shop in the downtown area.

“I’ve always wanted to open a business and let the community have access to me in a more business like atmosphere,” said Krezman, owner of Anthony’s Tattoo at 4222 Main St. next to Rex Theater.

He started learning to tattoo after seeing people who had gotten poor looking pieces.

“Some friends and family got some bad tattoos and I thought I could fix them and do better work,” Krezman said.

He taught himself to tattoo and supplemented his learning by watching videos and getting advice from other tattoo artists.

“I like to be able to give something to someone that they can show off,” Krezman said about why he likes the work. “They leave smiling because they like it. It’s something they’ll have forever.”

“I’d like to expand a little someday, but I think I like it how it is right now,” he continued. “I’ll wait and see how it fits the community.”

Krezman also would like to offer piercings at his shop.

Anthony’s Tattoo is open from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and by appointment on weekends. He can be reached at 267-8384.
