Girls soccer team defeats Kellogg 2-1

Bonners Ferry Girls Soccer Team defeated Kellogg 2-1 Saturday boosting their league record to 7-2-1.

The Lady Badgers opened the scoring at the third minute with Amy Andrews outrunning Kellogg’s defense and placing a low shot in the left corner.

This was followed by Kira Wasmer’s direct kick over the defensive wall and into the upper right goal’s corner.

Kellogg’s single score came at the 50th minute with an “own-goal” by the Badger’s defense.

Shots-on-goal saw the Badgers take 11th to the Kellogg’s five. Each team’s goalkeeper recorded five saves.

The team will be playing a district game on Friday.
