Student violates judge's order after threatening student
A judge’s threat wasn’t enough to keep a Bonners Ferry student out of trouble.
Chris B. Jones, 18, now faces going to prison.
Jones was sentenced last month for breaking into two vehicles on June 11 in the Bonners Ferry city parking lot.
He was placed on five years probation. One term of that probation is that Jones was told he must complete high school in Bonners Ferry. If he failed to do so, District Judge James R. Michaud told Jones he could be ordered to serve the entire two to four years of his suspended prison sentence.
On Oct. 6, he was expelled from Riverside High School for threatening another student. Because he violated his probation, Jones was arrested and is being held on a $25,000 bond at Boundary County Jail.
A hearing will be held in November.
