Boundary Trading Co. has acquired the China Kitchen property in Bonners Ferry.

Gary Morgan, co-owner of Boundary Trading Co., confirmed the sale on Tuesday. The grocer has no immediate plans for the property, which he said he purchased from Don and Sue Mah.

The Mahs have owned China Kitchen for 17 years and plan to close the restaurant, said family friend Ron Sukenik. They initially operated the restaurant from a downtown location, in a portion of the building occupied by Mugsy’s, Sukenik said.

Morgan and Paul Matejovsky also own Trading Co. stores in Post Falls and Spokane Valley, Spokane and
