Patricia Kathleen Belyea
Patricia Kathleen Belyea, 58, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, from mesothelioma cancer.
A vigil service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Patricia was born Nov. 28, 1949, in Spokane, Wash., to Ralph amd Elizabeth Crandell.
She attended St. Xavier Catholic Grade School and graduated from John Rogers High School.
Patricia married Clinton G. Belyea on June 22, 1968, at St. Xavier Catholic Church.
After raising their children Dennis, John and Katherine, Patricia returned to school and graduated with honors in 1990 from Century Community College in Whitebear Lake, Minn. She was hired as a secretary at Minnesota Medical Association CFO in Minneapo-lis.
Patricia and Clinton retired in 1994 and lived near Conner, Mont., until 2001 before moving near Eastport.
Patricia was active in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry, participating in the choir, Altar Society and working as St. Ann’s secretary/bookkeeper.
Patricia loved to sing and play the piano; she also enjoyed reading, cross-country skiing, camping and walks in the woods. But, most of all she loved her family and her church.
Patricia is survived by her husband; son Dennis Belyea, daughter-in-law Nenita Belyea and grandchildren Mark, Daniel, Brian and David; son John Belyea, daughter-in-law Cecelia Belyea and grandchildren Thomas, Grace and Lucille; daughter Katherine Musitani, son-in-law Cesar Musitani and grandchildren Kyle and Clinton; mother Elizabeth Jones; brothers Theodore, Michael, James, Christopher and Steven Crandell; and sisters Cecelia Tawfeek and Lorie Zimmerman.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father and sister Claudia.
