City responsible for upkeep of Veterans' Memorial Park

We recently had a person use very poor judgment and they desecrated the Veterans' Memorial stone at the Veterans' Park by the library, with paint.

We, the three Veterans' groups, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and Disabled American Veterans, were in the process of trying to remove the paint without destroying the finish on the stone. Someone in their haste to remove the paint, made a bigger mess.

The city of Bonners Ferry is responsible for the upkeep of Veterans' Park, and in the future all coordination should be coordinated through the city.

Also a note of thanks for those citizens of Boundary County who added to the reward fund and to the group from Sandpoint who did likewise. Thanks to Adam from Idaho Granite for cleaning the stone.
