Williams gets low gross

Julie Williams placed first with a low gross during a game of survival during the Mirror Lake Women’s Golf outing on Aug. 20.

Evelyn Rae followed placing second for low gross. Blanche Studer won first for low net and Nancy Herron took second for low net.

At the monthly meeting held Aug. 27, Fran Crandell was awarded the Ace of the Month with a low net of 37. The game of the day was the least putts, won by Evelyn Rae tied with Donna Irons with 15 putts and Louise Carter with 17 putts. There were no chip-ins.

Plans for the end of the year meeting in September were discussed, and the nominating committee was asked to get a slate of officers ready for election. The remaining championship game will be played Sept. 10. The Ace of Aces awards luncheon will be held on Sept. 24.The final game for the North Idaho Senior Women’s Golf Association will be Monday, Sept. 8, at Stoneridge Golf Course in Blanchard.
