Wayne W. Bornemann

Wayne W. Bornemann, 68, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Boundary Community Hospital Urgent Care in Bonners Ferry.

A memorial service for Wayne, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Bonners Ferry Free Methodist Church.

Wayne was born July 23, 1940, in Hazen, N.D., to John and Irene Scherer Bornemann.

He graduated from Hazen High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Air Force, assigned to duty stations in Alaska and Yaak, Mont.

Wayne married Nancy Roland of Bonners Ferry in 1959. They made their home in Bonners Ferry, raising daughters Willa, Karen, Janie and Sharon.

He worked in the construction and automotive trades in North Idaho, being employed for several years with Brandt Construction and retiring from Contractors Northwest of Coeur d’Alene in 2006.

Wayne is survived by brothers Myron Bornemann and his wife, Yvonne, of Pic City, N.D., and Layton Bornemann and his wife, Jolaine, of Hazen; sisters Naomi Sjogen of Valley Springs, Calif., Gloria Kruckenburg and her husband, Gerald, of Bismarck, N.D., and Carla Malyska of Corning, N.Y.; daughters Willa Robinson and her husband, Mike, of Grain Valley, Mo., Karen Pearcy and her husband, Dan, of Newport, Wash., Janie Early and her husband, Chris, of Hermiston, Ore., and Sheri Wilson and her husband, Mike, of Mountain Home; grandchildren Russell Pearcy and his wife, Bryden, of Honolulu, Dale Pearcy and his companion Mary Roesbery of Westport, Wash., Madeline Robinson of Kansas City, Mo., Chase Robinson of Columbia, Mo., and Liam Early of Hermiston; great-grandchildren McKenna and Ashton Pearcy of Honolulu; sister-in-law Nolda Gross of Moyie Springs; brother-in-law R.C. Roland and his wife, Connie, of Post Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Sara Lou Gallagher, and brothers-in-law Lennis Gross and Gary Gallagher.
