Levigs married 50 years
Leslie and Jeannette Levig will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
A photo presentation of memories will be shown at 3 p.m.
The Levigs want no gifts. They only request the company of friends and family.
Les Levig married the former Jeannette Johnson-Lincks on May 9, 1959, and they moved to Bonners Ferry shortly after.
Les Levig worked on revamping the Louisiana-Pacific Lumber Co., now Riley Creek.
His wife was a secretary at Boundary County Extension Office.
The couple then moved away to the San Francisco Bay area, returning to Bonners Ferry in 1972.
The Levigs bought a house on Ash Street until starting a wholesale nursery in 1975. Les Levig bought a manufactured home and placed it near the nursery. He assured his wife it was a temporary arrangement. The couple lives there today.
The Levigs have five children, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
