Jo Neumayer McNall

Jo Neumayer McNall passed away Thursday, April 9h, 2009, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Jo was born April 13, 1943, in Bonners Ferry to Alois and Natalie Neumayer. She was the youngest of 10 children.

After graduating from Bonners Ferry High School in 1961, Jo moved to Spokane, Wash., where she met and married Don McNall on August 24, 1963. They were married for 45 years.

The McNalls raised three children in Spokane before being transferred to Vancouver, Wash., in 1984. Jo worked for Vancouver School District for 20 years, retiring in 2006.

The McNalls moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2008.

Jo will be best remembered for her kindness and support of family. She also was an avid reader and loved books.

Jo is survived by her husband; children Kelli (Greg) Gillingham of Vancouver, Mike (Candy) McNall of Gladstone, Ore.; and Tim (Nicole) McNall of Vancouver; grandchildren Drew, Courtney, Kelsi and Blake McNall, Nick, Alexis, and Ian Gillingham, and Connor and Lilli McNall; brothers Art (Murph) Neumayer of Orofino, John (Donna) Neumayer of Lewiston, and Gene and Jim Neumayer, both of Bonners Ferry; sisters Chic King and Polly Parisot, both of Coeur d' Alene, Alice Neumayer of Bonners Ferry and Helen Harris of Portland, Ore.

A rosary was held at Yates Funeral Home Coeur d’Alene Chapel on April 16. A funeral mass was held at St. Pius X on April 17.
