Girls soccer

Bonners Ferry High School girls soccer team lost 8-1 to Moscow in its 2009 season opener on Saturday.

The talented Moscow 4A Bears scored first on a penalty kick at the fifth minute and followed with three more points by half-time.

The Badgers scored on a super “header” by Kendra Johnson via a perfect set-up pass from Emily Pauls.

Bonners Ferry held its own for 12 minutes into the second half. The Bears then unleashed four more goals in the final 28 minutes.

The Lady Badgers saw significant playing time at multiple positions.
