Darrus R. Irons, 53

Darrus R. Irons, 53, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry from complications of a massive stroke.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with interment in Grandview Cemetery.

Darrus was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Bonners Ferry to Ernest and Mary Irons. He attended school in Boundary County.

Darrus enjoyed the outdoors and the love and company of family.

He lived in Sandpoint, working at Arby’s for 19 years.

Darrus was preceded in death by his parents,.

He is survived by brothers Ernest Jr. (Jane) of Beaumont, Texas, Delbert (Rita) of Fredericksburg, Texas, Edgar of Elko, Nev., and Kenneth (Donna) of Bonners Ferry; sister Sandra (Richard) Johnson of Troy, Mont.;17 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
