Three Bonners Ferry wrestlers took firsts to led the Badgers to a second place finish out second of 16 North Idaho teams during the St. Maries tournament.

A bracket winners were Blaine Invernon (103), Benny Watt (135) and Trevor Hampton (140.

Others who placed were in 125, Dusty Koehler second place A bracket; in 125, Reid Boorman second place B bracket; in 130, Mike Mason third place B bracket; in 152, Thomas Osborn third place B bracket; and in 160, Joe Neumeyer third place B bracket

Libby 55, Bonners Ferry 27

At Libby, the hometown Loggers dominated most of the heavier weights, getting pins from wrestlers at 160-189 pounds to defeat Bonners Ferry in a nonconference dual.

For Bonners Ferry’s season opener, Josh Tucker (98), Blaine Invernon (105) and Ben Watt (135) all won by pin. Badger Trevor Hampted (140) scored 19-2 a on fall.
