Roy Medeiros, 77

Roy Medeiros, 77, passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at his home after a tough battle with cancer.

Roy was born in Oakland, Calif., and moved to Bonners Ferry to retire with his wife, Estelle.

He was hard working and very proud of being an active member of the Teamster Union.

Roy was a self-taught artist, warm hearted and had a great sense of humor. He was a strong man with a creative, inventive mind. To know Roy was to love him. He will be missed deeply.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart Estelle Medeiros; beloved children Darla, Rand and Kim Medeiros and Lisa Kentra Medeiros; loving grandchildren Adriana Medeiros, Rand Medeiros Jr. and Joseph Kentra; brother Richard Medeiros of Hayward, Calif.; brother-in-law Mike Price; and “adopted” daughter Shari Hirsh.

Roy was preceded in death by a son, Dana Medeiros.

The family expresses much appreciation to Hospice for its support.

Private family services were held.
