Soccer players honoredby nationalassociation

Bonners Ferry High School junior forward Kendra Johnson and senior goalkeeper Samantha Schmitz were named to the All Far West Region Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The association is the largest coaches’ organization in the nation.

Johnson, Schultz and their teammates, who are coached by John Lindberg, won the 3A District title last fall and fell short of the state title in double overtime

Schmitz was also selected for the Idaho 2008 3A Girls State Championship/Coaches All-Tournament Team.
