Glenna Hatfield, 85

Glenna Hatfield, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, surround by members of her family from complications of pneumonia.

Glenna was born Nov. 4, 1923, to William Palfreyman and Mattie Thorn in Springville, Utah,

Glenna was raised in Springville, where she met and married Koyle Hatfield on Feb. 20, 1943. They moved to North Idaho, where they raised their seven children and worked hard building their logging company.

After 30 years they sold the business and moved back to Utah.

Glenna was an active member of the LDS Church and served many positions. Koyle and Glenna served in the Adam-Ondi-Ahman mission. After their mission, they moved back to Springville, which made her very happy.

The last few years of Glenna’s life were spent in Perry, Utah.

The Hatfields did genealogy and extraction work for the church and loved to attend the temple. She had strong testimony of the Gospel and often talked about the tender mercies of the Lord in her life.

Glenna loved sewing, quilting, and crocheting hats and afghans for her great-grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. She spent many hours making quilts for the Humanitarian Center and was a member of the Utah Daughters of the Pioneers.
