Frank Williams, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Spokane, Wash.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.

Frank was born in Bonners Ferry to Robert and Frances Neumayer Williams.

Frank graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1944, where he played basketball for the Badgers.

After graduation, Frank joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific at the close of World War II.

He returned to the Bonners Ferry area and worked in the logging industry.

Frank married Annie Gibbs in 1962 in Coeur d’Alene.

He continued working in the woods as a logger, truck driver and equipment operator.  Frank later operated his own loading equipment in Washington, Idaho and Montana, retiring in 1990.

He also lived in Libby, Mont, and Chattaroy, Wash.

Frank enjoyed his work, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by children Michael, Barbara, Linda, Frances, Patricia, Barbara, George, Dee and Jimmy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Berniece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Leonard, and his wife, Annie.
