Watt, Pruitt, Schmitz make All-State team

Three Bonners Ferry High School girls soccer players were among 23 selected to the Idaho 2008 3A Girls State Championship/Coaches All-Tournament Team.

They are senior midfielder-forward Brianna Watt, senior fullback Rachel Pruitt and junior keeper Samantha Schmitz. The girls received All-Tournament certificates.

“Each one of them in their own rite very well deserves it,” said head coach John Lindberg. “Each one of them was a very aggressive player and a team player, and played within the rules.”

Watt, Pruitt and Schmitz and the rest of the Badgers qualified for the state soccer tournament last fall. The team was eliminated after a double-overtime shootout in the second round.
