Ariel Faye Burley, 83

Ariel  Faye Burley, 83, passed away quietly on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in Spokane, Wash.

She was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Porthill to Harley and Annie King.

Ariel was a Spokane resident for more than 60 years. For a majority of those years, she was a homemaker, enjoying gardening, knitting and golfing.

She also worked for a number of businesses including Graybar Electric and Old National Bank Building.

Burley was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard O. Burley, and a sister, Anita Ellis.

She is survived by sons Wayne (Nancy) Burley of Spokane and Lorne (Wendy) Burley of Newman Lake, Wash.; grandsons Mason (Laurel) Burley of Spokane and Todd (Tricia) Burley of Seattle; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Chloe Burley; sisters Jeanette King, Naomi (Jerry) Lund, Vonnie Hubell, Roberta (Ralph) McDonald, Sonja (Manuel ) Estella; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Classy Retreat Adult Family Home and Carlahn Gayda of Hospice.

Family services will be held at a later date.
