Badger boys basketball team loses 43-42 to Post Falls
Post Falls Junior Varsity boys basketball team outscored Bonners Ferry by one point in the fourth quarter to defeat the Badgers 43-42 on Saturday.
Senior Badger Derek Deitz led the game in scoring with 11 points. Senior Carey Reynolds and junior Colton Watt each added 6.
Damon Gonzales paced Post Falls with 10 points.
This was a game added to the schedule due to the cancellation of the Freeman Tournament.
“It was nice getting a game in especially for our JV players,” said Badger Coach Gordon Allured. “They have only played two games in two months. Our varsity has been hit with the injury bug — three players out — so we had a thin roster.”
“But the young kids played great,” Allured continued. “It was just good to play someone else other than ourselves.”
Bonners Ferry will travel to Priest River for a game at 7:30 p.m. today, Jan. 15.
The Badgers will host Sandpoint at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17.
