DePriest made two teams one

Most of you are familiar with the junior varsity Priest River football game.

 But if you weren’t there to see it, I am sorry to say you missed the best display of coaching I have seen.  For the safety of our junior varsity boys, mostly freshmen, I feel Coach DePriest did the right thing by putting in our so-called varsity team, which age and size are more like a junior varsity team.  Some boys’ comments were, “It felt good to play other boys the same size and age.” 

After that game, we gained a whole new respect for the coach; he made two teams one and they became a family.
