Inauguration Parade includes former resident

Boundary County residents Margie and Larry Pinkerton were glued to their television Tuesday  to catch a glimpse of their son in the Inauguration Parade in Washington, D.C.

Former Boundary County resident Lee Pinkerton, an assistant chief with the U.S. Border Patrol in Spokane, Wash., was among 14 agents from the sector to take part in the parade for President Barack Obama.  The agents were chosen because of their unique mounted horse patrol of 10 wild mustangs.

Margie Pinkerton was at her winter home in Arizona when she received a call from Hod Sandborn of Bonners Ferry on Tuesday, telling her he just saw her son being interviewed on the TV news show Good Morning America.

“I missed the interview, but I am watching for him right now; he is riding in the parade and should be on any second,” said Margie Pinkerton.
