Larry Lee Richards, 62

 Larry Lee Richards, 62 , passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in the emergency room at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry.

A celebration of life and a potluck was held Tuesday at the family home at 188 Old Highway 2, Moyie Springs. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Larry was born Dec. 15, 1946, in Bonners Ferry to Oliver and Betty Washburn Richards.

He went to Northside Elementary until he moved to Washing-ton with his mother after his parents divorced. Larry graduated from Sultan High school in 1966.

He married Marilee and they had children Ken, Karen and Kimberly.

After Larry’s divorce, he moved back to Bonners Ferry and worked for Davidson and Kelson as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver until the company closed. Larry then worked for several local companies as a welder and heavy equipment operator until he went to Alaska to work for six years. He then came home and worked at various companies as an equipment operator and truck driver until his retirement in December 2008.

Larry married Debbie Baesemann on June 26, 1993.

He loved to fish and hunt, weld, do woodworking and visit with friends

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; children; three grandchildren; a brother, John, and his wife, Teri; uncle Don and aunt Beverly Washburn; and niece, nephews and numerous cousins.
