Greensky hits 3-pointer at buzzer for Badger victory

Bonners Ferry Senior Jamie Greensky hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to lead the girls to a 60-59 victory over  Priest River Tuesday night.

The Badgers are 6-2 in the Intermountain League and 11-4 overall.

“I drew up a play for a two-point shot to tie, the girls kicked it out and hit a 3, “ said Coach Travis Hinthorn.  “I liked their play better; it was a great team win.”

Sophomore Markayle Accord led the girls to a 52-39 victory over Timberlake at home on Saturday with 14 points.   

The Badgers lost at Timberlake earlier in the season 41-39.

“We did a much better job of running and holding their pressure than last time we played them,” said Hinthorn.

Accord scored all her points in three quarters before leaving with a sprained ankle.  Erin Hiatt scored 12 points had 9 steals and 5 assists.
